There are a number of options available to generate the driveway, patio or path to compliment you home, from gravel and slabs to blocks or brickweave.
Each project is individual and we will assess whether and where you would need extra drainage to avoid those dreaded flooding areas. All foundations are laid with a concrete base and compacted down to assure long term stability. A sharp sand screed layer is applied and levelled to create an even finish in preparation for paving. Once Paving has been laid our specialists will ensure the finishing touches of perfectly cut paving to complete the overall project is seamless.
We source our materials from local reputable suppliers, so with hundreds of designs available to view from the brochures we carry, we can help you come to a decision what will work well with the space and your budget.
If you opt for shingle or gravel for your project then we would first apply a layer of hardcore which is compacted tight to avoid movement or sinkage before a layer of landscape sheeting is laid in preparation for the stone finish.

For that complete garden design our landscaping services include constructing raised flowerbeds with the use of sleepers or brick walls, Gazebos, pergolas, car ports and decked areas. Our design process would aim to bring more structure to a garden, creating separate spaces for entertainment and relaxation to maximise the space available.
Whilst we have created a beautiful patio area, your grass may not look as good alongside your new creation, so we can complete the design by laying excellent quality turf. Compliment with path edging alongside flowerbeds or finish it off with decorative stone, all of which we can obtain from our reputable suppliers.
Walls, steps and flower beds are typical features of a landscaping project. We provide a range of services including boundary walls, steps and retaining walls even raised flowerbeds for those with limited mobility yet wish to still enjoy their garden. Walls can be constructed in a range of bricks with piers, railings with or without gates topped with engineer bricks or coping stones of your choice. Sleepers can provide a different, softer look and are becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to brick.

Are you thinking of adding more space and value to your property? Then an extension or conservatory is the way to go.
If you simply wish to create a bigger living space or to add an extra room, we can help.
Whether you have Planning Permission in place or not, we can recommend a highly qualified Architect that can meet with you to discuss your ideas or even give you some new ones.
Once the Architect has obtained exact measurements, he can create extensive plans for you to view and easily understand, after which if you agree to these he will get the wheels in motion and submit the plans to the relevant agencies on your behalf. The Architect is only a phone call away from you or our team if there are any questions or queries during the build. As the project progress he will arrange for Building Regs inspections at appropriate times throughout the process to make sure we are meeting standards at all times.

On this particular project, we had a gorgeous barn conversion with a fantastic view over a very large pond. This the customers wanted to emphasise as they held many gatherings and wanted to enjoy the views from a spectacular patio area.
With the grounds being at different levels, a raised patio was the best option. So to create the shape we used treated Oak Sleepers cut on edge and cemented into place to make a lovely flowing retaining wall, planting areas and steps. With the grounds and hardcore compacted down within the area to make the solid base we started laying the slabs. Using large porcelain slabs, each one had to be primed before laying on a semi-wet mortar base.
To complete the look, we applied a porcelain grout and finished off with plum slate between the slab and timber edge.

On this extension, the customers wanted to remove their old conservatory and replace with an open plan kitchen/diner and living space. Also to extend on the current kitchen, dining area and children’s bedroom, which at the time was a very small box room. The finished look was to be rendered to blend in with the existing house.
Starting with the removal of the conservatory, the area was then marked out for the footings as per the architects design.
We then dug out the area for footings, drains and soak away. Concrete footings and oversite were then applied to which we then started laying the blocks and bricks up to first level. Insulation was added as we worked through the build to Building Regulations recommendation.
Steels that had been designed by a reputable steel manufacturer had been constructed, which were erected and assembled into place. Once all supports were in place, the construction of the bedroom extension was completed.
At this point we could then have our carpenter erect the roof structure with Velux windows, floor joists and bedroom floor. We then finished off the roof by felting and tiling to match the existing house.
Once the glazing company had fitted the patio doors and windows, the whole extension was then weather tight and the next stage was to knock through the bedroom wall to create one large room, and the small kitchen diner knocked through to make one large open plan living space. Our heating engineer could then come in to extend plumbing and pipes for new radiators. All was then completed with plaster board and skimmed throughout.
The ground floor extension then had insulation and concrete screed applied to create one level throughout the living area. To finish the project the extension was rendered and a new Indian sandstone patio was laid with a sloping retaining wall with steps.
